Shaneâs hands were on Lily, and his mouth was on her, and for the most part, she couldnât think of anything but that. The electric surge of pleasure running through her veins made her brain short-circuit.
Except she must have had some capacity for rational thought, because it occurred to her that Brittany might come home any moment. She probably wouldnâtâshe had planned to work through lunch to clear her schedule for her tripâbut she could, and that was enough for Lily to make the one sensible decision she would make that day.
She told Shane they needed to move to the bedroom.
âNot here,â she said. âBrittany.â
It was all she managed to say while Shane was kissing her, but it was enough.
âOkay. Where?â
âBedroom. Down the hall.â
He got off of her in a second, and she was about to follow him, but before she could, he scooped her up into her arms like some prehistoric man hauling his mate off to the cave.
It was incredibly hot.
âWait,â she said when they were halfway down the hallway.
He stopped, carrying her against his body. âOh. If youâre not sureââ
âThe clothes!â She pointed back toward where theyâd been, indicating the two shirts lying in a pile on the floorâa telltale bit of evidence should Brittany come home unexpectedly.
He set her down onto her feetâa development she didnât particularly enjoyâran back into the living room, grabbed the two shirts, and brought them back with him. Then he pulled her into his arms again, kissing her in the hallway.
âWhich room?â he murmured.
âThat one.â She pointed to her room, and he headed that way without letting go of her, opening the door, pushing her inside, closing the door with his foot, and pressing her against the wall without pause.
With the wall to her back and Shane to her front, Lily felt deliciously trapped, and the last thing she wanted was to be released. Shane put his mouth on her neck, using his tongue to taste her, and slipped his hand down the waistband of her sweatpants. His fingers slid between her legs, and her knees went weak.
âOh, God.â
A finger went inside her, and now her legs started to fail her. She might have slumped to the floor if he hadnât been holding her in place with his body.
âYouâre so wet,â he whispered into her ear. âI love how much you want me.â
He wanted her, tooâshe could feel his hardness pressing against her. She wanted to put her hands everywhere, but she only had one to work with, so she had to prioritize. She couldnât manage to undo his pants with just the one, non-dominant hand, so she pressed her palm against his erection outside of the fabric, and he drew in a ragged breath.
He added a second finger to the first, sliding it into her, and everything in the world now existed in that one spot at the center of her.
Lily hadnât felt like this sinceâwell, since a time she preferred not to remember. Sheâd been playing it safe. Dating men she liked, but not too much.
